Production Blog: Another Day of Editing

Image
Hello blog I'm back again. Today we began editing are film some more. While I helped my friend I felt like I learned a lot. I helped him edit and film. As I am editing my own film currently this has helped boost my confidence. While I am not the main editor in my group we all work as a team to attempt to perfect are film. So far we have finished many of are edits for are film. All thats left is fixing up some stuff. Yesterday while I was editing I hadn't noticed that certain parts seemed off. I was unsure of what at the time. While Ben was looking over at my editing he pointed out something I hadn't seen. I was seeing from the perspective of a editor and not the audience. His observation helped me realize the importance of viewing our project from different angles, ensuring its appeal to our audience. While the edits I had created made sense to me to the audience it may not be as obvious. They may get lost and not understand the plot. As I created the film I knew what was

Hey folks, Nic here! So, let me tell you about this wicked cool thing I did the other day. My buddy Wolf was all psyched about shooting this horror flick, and he asked me to tag along and lend a hand. Now, I'm not exactly Spielberg, but I'm dabbling in a bit of filmmaking myself, so I thought, why not jump in and help out? We rocked up to the set with all sorts of props and gear, ready to bring Wolf's scary story to life. I mean, who doesn't love a good scare, am I right? Anyway, we got everything set up, and before we knew it, we were neck-deep in fake blood and spooky masks. Watching Wolf in action was pretty eye-opening, I gotta say. He had this knack for setting the scene and building suspense that I hadn't even considered. It was like watching a pro at work, and I was soaking it all in. As we went along, I started picking up all these cool little tricks and tips from Wolf. Like, did you know that lighting can totally change the vibe of a scene? Or how the angl

Hey there, readers! I wanted to take a moment to update you on our filmmaking journey and share the progress we've made in the editing process. Editing is a crucial step that helps us turn our raw footage into a cohesive and impactful film. So, let's dive into the world of post-production and explore the art of editing! After the excitement of filming, our team gathered with a clear mission: to shape our footage into an amazing film. We had all the creative tools we needed and were eager to get started. The first thing we did was review all the footage we had captured. We carefully watched every scene and selected the best takes that fit our creative vision. These chosen moments became the foundation of our film. With a solid understanding of the story we wanted to tell, we began piecing together the footage. We chose the most powerful shots and arranged them in a sequence that would engage our audience. It was like putting together a puzzle, making sure each piece fit perfect

Production Blog: Filming Day

Hello blog I'm back again. Today we began filming. Things started off slow as Benjamin was late to arrive. He had a scout meeting which held him up. When Ben finally arrived, we began filming. We went to are designated spot and set up all stuff we had brought. We checked the weather, and it seemed fine. We saw some clouds but thought nothing of it. We filmed are first few scenes successfully. When are scenes were filmed, we had to wait till night to film the rest. The scenes we filmed were only a small part of what we had to film. We were almost done filming when it started raining. The rain ruined most of the stuff we had to set up and made us unable to film the night scenes. Everyone had to get home by a certain time so we couldn't wait for the rain to stop. This set us back, but we had planned for if anything happened. Later when we arrived at home the few scenes, we had filmed had to be re shot as the props had gotten messed up by the rain. While this film day was unsucces

Production Blog: Preparing for Filming

Hello blog today I will be talking about are groups film prep. There are many things we need to decide on. Such as what we will use to film with. We will also need to decide what times we film everything. Benjamin my group mate tends to be very busy on weekends. Due to Bens busy schedule, we may have to find alternative days to film. We may have to film on weekdays. We have been using our phones to keep in touch and plan everything. As we have school during the days it is difficult to film but we will have to try. As we have already established everyone's roles it should go smoothly. We also must allocate how much time we will spend on each part of the project. Tasks such as filming and editing can take longer than other stuff. We have already chosen are locations. We will film most of it at Bens neighborhood. We also tried to find ways we could film mor efficiently. Such as filming it all on one camera. Some issues we had last time was the weather. We made sure to check it before

Hey blog it’s been a quite a while. I have come a long way since my first project and am exited to start this one. I have done many things in media studies and while I have had some challenges, I have grown from them. I hope that I will grow from this project as well. We have done quite a lot of planning, but now we can finally start the final task. We made sure are planning was thorough but there is some stuff you just can’t plan for. We haven’t had any issues yet but i hope this stay true. I’m extremely exited and nervous to begin. Due to our planning I feel that nothing could got wrong. It brings me peace of mind that we spent a lot of time planning. I know that bad things could happen but we are prepared for it. Our group met to begin the final task. I think they shared the same feelings as me about the final task. Tom and Ben seemed nervous to begin. Blake looked confident. The more we started doing everyone else seemed more comfortable. While we are just in the beginning fazes
