Production Blog: Locations
Today, the blog would walk you through our shooting locations. The original scheme was to shoot in some different locations.
We knew we needed to have a quiet place to film. This meant either a secluded place or a private place. We sat down and started brainstorming about filming spots. Each of us had some suggestions, but none really seemed to work. My dad's office could be the set for the office scene, but it may just be too much traveling for everyone just for a short scene. For the car scenes, we could shoot any off-street main road. So practically anybody's neighborhood would do. Nathaly had some locations we could use for filming, but they aren't really what we had envisioned. For the party scene, we can use Nicolas' backyard because it has plenty of space for hosting events. Given that all of us are on a timeline, this whole planning phase is very crucial. If we do not have enough time, then we may end up doing the whole thing at Nicolas' place. That should have everything we need for all the scenes. The idea would definitely be to film all these different locations, but we will not know just how much time we have until we hit the shooting day. To match with the picture we had, we are going to shoot at night/evening. Shooting at night can be trickily tough, so we might need somewhere like a street with good lighting. In order not to waste time come filming day, Nicolas has volunteered to drive around his neighborhood to find an area with good lighting at night.
We hope we will be able to film at the various locations, but time will tell.
